曲培醇教授（Petra ten-Doesschate Chu）生于荷兰，定居于美国，自1972年起在美国西东大学（Seton Hall University）美术与音乐系担任教授，教龄四十余年，公认为19世纪艺术研究领域的权威学者。现任西东大学美术与音乐系学术总监，《十九世纪世界艺术》（Nineteenth-Century Art Worldwide）执行主编，曾任十九世纪艺术史研究者协会（Association of Historians of Nineteenth-Century Art）主席。
